My newest painting looks great on the beach towel!
I was experimenting with the colors, as I really like the Elijah blue grass with the Japanese Blood grass colors. Because I am self-learning about art, I really wanted to try these colors together. I used more curved lines to express motion.
The Elijah Blue grass is Festuca glauca. I was interested in this grass because it is drought tolerant. Because our summers seem to be drier, this grass would be a great addition to the garden. I avoided adding the flowers on the grass because I didn't want to distract from the blood grass colors.
