The winter wonderland carnival and gift shoppe event was December 8, 2023. It was a Friday, and the event began at 5:30 p.m. and continued until 8:00 p.m. There were about 35 vendors and a carnival for the children.
The event was sponsored by the Cy-Fair H.S. TAFE club. TAFE is Teachers Association of Future Educators.
The event highlighted festivities with Santa Claus, a raffle, face painting, ring toss, balloon popping and so much more. The students of the TAFE club were ready to serve and assisted the vendors with setting up and getting ready. All the booths were labeled with the vendor names and all vendors lined the hallway.
Vendors were offering holiday scents from Scentsy, t-shirts, jewelry, home made gifts, designer mugs, Mary Kay and so much more. My booth, Lisual Art, was next to Mary Kay with Katie Prewitt.
Every booth was different. There were no two booths selling similar items. It was well organized and set up for a great way to connect with the community.
Cy-fair police were visible on campus for added security. The event was open free to the public and fundraising was accomplished through the carnival, food, raffle and vendors.
Cy-Fair high school is located across the street from the new CFISD administration building.
My improvement plan for future events will be:
Use the table to display more paintings
make the price sign larger
get a better table covering (advice from another vendor)
use lights on the wall panels
get some battery operated lamps
add a portable speaker for soft sounds
check into getting a router and back up battery for wifi
add images from website (per customer request)
make a wooden sign of logo to display on the table
use table raisers
Thank you Cy-Fair TAFE club for this wonderful event! Many blessings for your school year!
