Personal Profile of a Small Business Owner
While working in education, Laure Locascio of Lisual Art LLC began working as a professional artist in Houston, Texas. Since 2020, Lisual Art LLC has worked on a variety of creative projects. Works from Lisual Art include acrylic painting on canvas board. Many years ago, the artist's work also included pen and ink and watercolor.
The artistic expression of Lisual Art has gone through many phases over the years resulting in a highly original and personal approach and perspective. The artist name is Laure Locascio. The artist is always growing and never content standing still. Since May 2022, the artist has been learning more about different styles and enjoys landscapes, cubism style, and works by Charles Demuth, Raoul Dufy, Lyonel Feininger, Casper David Friedrich, Vincent Van Gogh, Natalie Goncharova, Juan Gris, Sir Howard Hodgkin, Alexei Jawlensky, Wassily Kandinsky, Morris Louis, Franz Marc, Piet Mondrian, Robert Natkin, Ben Nicholson, Jackson Pollock, Liubov Popova, Gerhard Richter, Mark Rothko, Charles Sheeler, Walter Richard Sickert, Henri De Toulouse-Lautrec and Maurice De Vlaminck.
As of 2022, the website Lisual Art launched, and the artist is working out of home. The art studio is the home living room. Supplies are minimal and limited, but the artist is eager to grow, learn, create, share and inspire. The artist's journey is shared with friends, artists or students and will continue growing and working to become better each day.
Laur Locascio is showing growth as a developing artist and looks forward to sharing experience and beautiful original works of art.
The artist views growth and changes as a positive direction and enjoys colors of the Earth. The artist favorites are browns, reds, greens, orange, and yellow.
The artist is continuing gaining experience with colors and hues, tones, shapes, and spaces by reading and learning each day. The artist is exploring the critical works of other artists and learning about different styles and techniques and is not afraid to try new expressions. The artist would like to share experiences and is open to communicating and exploring with others. The artist strives to share visual creations that move you in a way to feel your world.

Earned a Bachelor of Art in Biology with a minor in Spanish. Also played French horn, trumpet, trombone and clarinet. Favorite classes included art history, especially Assyrian art, combat and Lions. Amazing.
Master of Science in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment

The artist is currently retired from teaching high school in Houston, Texas (2022). The artist is open-minded and continues learning how art is integrated into all aspects of teaching and life. This artist has taught students in Biology at all levels, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering Design and Problem Solving, Anatomy, Earth Science, Space Science, Environmental Science and Medical Health Science.

The artist began art at a very young age but chose to experience life through different roads and paths, including music, mechanical maintenance on aircraft, working with animals, the food industry, website design, photography, teaching, sales, carpet cleaning, shipping and beverage delivery.
